Scholarship Felicitation Program

“Excellence is the result of consistent effort, unwavering discipline and the courage to keep striving.”\r\nThe Scholarship Program 2025-26 was held on 24 September 2026, Thursday to honour students who demonstrated exceptional achievement in Academics, Performing Arts, Literary Excellence and Sports. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a soulful welcome song, setting an inspiring tone for the celebration. A total scholarship amount of ₹34,33,000 was awarded to students across four categories, recognising their exceptional achievements.\r\n\r\nThe Chief Guest, Dr. Kuldeep Ganju, Principal, Pharmacy SIPTec, congratulated the awardees and emphasized perseverance, discipline and holistic development. The presence of senior mentors- Director Ms. Jaishree Kanwar, Dean Mr. S. S. Shrivastava and Madam Principal Ms. Alpa Prabhu added dignity to the occasion.\r\nThe highlight was the felicitation of meritorious students with scholarships, trophies and certificates under four categories: Academic Excellence, recognising outstanding scholastic achievement and consistent performance; Literary Excellence, honouring achievements in writing, oratory and literary competitions; Performing Arts, honouring excellence in music, dance and other creative pursuits; and Sports Excellence, recognising remarkable achievements, dedication and performance across various sporting disciplines and levels.\r\nMadam Principal Ms Alpa Prabhu congratulated the achievers and appreciated the efforts of students, parents and teachers.

Grandparents’ Day Celebration

“Grandparents are the roots that keep families grounded and the gentle hands that guide generations forward.”\r\nGrandparents’ Day for Class II was celebrated on 19 September 2026, honouring the love, wisdom and timeless values that grandparents bring into children’s lives. The celebration began with a Green Welcome, followed by an energetic Welcome Dance and melodious Welcome Song. Madam Principal extended warm greetings and heartfelt wishes to the grandparents, setting a gracious tone for the occasion. A touching Grandparents’ Song with enactment, fun-filled games, the Grand GUPSHUP Show, Memories segment and tokens of love added warmth and joy. In his inspiring address, respected Dean, Mr. S.S. Shrivastava highlighted the vital role of grandparents in nurturing kindness, respect, discipline and good habits, while emphasising how conversations, storytelling and gentle guidance strengthen children’s language, communication skills, confidence and manners. The celebration concluded with a Final Dance leaving everyone with cherished memories of a beautiful bond between generations, where love becomes a legacy and values become a lifelong gift.

TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION

"A teacher plants the seeds of knowledge, nurtures dreams, and inspires a lifetime of learning.”\r\nTeachers’ Day was celebrated on 5 September 2026, Saturday, with great enthusiasm and gratitude. A special morning assembly was organised for the teachers, highlighting the significance of their role in shaping young minds and nurturing future generations. The assembly featured an inspiring address by Director Dr Jaishree Kanwar, whose speech centred on the value of gratitude towards teachers and their enduring contribution to students’ lives. The celebration also included a soulful song performance and a graceful dance presentation by the students. The Primary Wing presented an engaging skit, “AI vs Teachers,” beautifully highlighting the irreplaceable human connect, compassion, and guidance that teachers bring to education.Overall, the day was full of appreciation and togetherness.

Career Counseling session on Careers in Management

An insightful Career Counselling session on “Careers in Management” was conducted for Commerce and Humanities students of Classes XI and XII on 25 August 2026. Led by Mr. Rahul Vaswani, the session offered valuable insights into diverse management career pathways. He introduced students to the IIM ecosystem, IPMAT examination and selection process, along with the importance of balancing hard and soft skills. Students were also familiarised with leading undergraduate programmes and reputed institutions such as Symbiosis, Manipal, Narsee Monjee and Christ University. The highlight was the 4-Tier Career Strategy—Aspirational Dreams, Realistic Stretch, Strong & Safe Choices, and Backup Safety Net. The session concluded with the inspiring message, “The Future Belongs to Early Mover".

Carpe Diem 2026- 13th Inter-School Debate Competition

The thirteenth edition of the Inter-School Debate Competition, Carpe Diem – Seize the Day, was hosted by Sagar Public School, Gandhi Nagar on 22 August 2026. The motion for the day was “The Great Nicobar project exemplifies the ethical paradox of pursuing prosperity at the cost of planetary health.”\r\nThe event was adjudicated by two distinguished personalities—Ms. Seema Verma, an MANIT alumna, Ex Boeing/ Airbus instructor\r\nFounder of Saksham-Society for Empowering Rural areas, MP, through education, health, skill development and environmental sustainability and Ms Saloni Jaiman, Alumna NLIU & Founder-Up for Debate Education and accomplished debater-adjudicator, who has judged several prestigious national and international debating tournaments, including the World Universities Debating Championship, UADC, Australs and Asia World Schools Debating Championship. \r\nFifteen leading schools across the states participated, making the occasion a vibrant confluence of intellect and eloquence.\r\nThe debate featured spirited exchanges with participants showcasing conviction, sharp rhetoric, and sound arguments that inspired critical thinking.\r\n\r\nResults – Carpe Diem 2026\r\n* Best Speaker For the Motion – Winner: Ansh Arora (Choithram School North Campus Indore)\r\n* Best Speaker For the Motion – Runner Up: Diya Tripathi (DPS Kolar)\r\n\r\n* Best Speaker Against the Motion – Winner: Mihir Shahani (SPS Saket Nagar)\r\n* Best Speaker Against the Motion – Runner Up: Arya Singh (Sunbeam School, Mugalsarai, UP)\r\n* Best Rebutter For the Motion: Ayushi Singh (SPS Rohit Nagar)\r\n\r\n* Best Rebutter Against the Motion: Ankit Raj Saikia (St. Joseph’s Co-Ed School)\r\n* Overall Winner Trophy: Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar\r\nWinners were felicitated with trophies, certificates, and cash prizes: ₹10,000 (Best Speaker – Winner), ₹8,000 (Best Speaker- Runner Up), and ₹5,000 (Best Rebutter- For & Against the Motion). 80th Independence Day Celebration

On 15 August 2026, the 80th Independence Day was celebrated with vibrant enthusiasm and deep patriotic pride. The day commenced with the flag hoisting by Madam Principal, Ms Alpa Prabhu, along with the Senior Mentors. \r\nThe programme began with a soul-stirring musical performance by Satpura House, followed by a poem recitation by the Junior Sagarites. Addressing the gathering, Madam Principal emphasised the value of freedom and urged students to use it responsibly and productively as citizens of the nation.The highlight of the cultural programme was the spirited Inter-House Nrityollas Competition for Classes III–V judged by Ms. Pragya Sharma, an experienced Kathak Dancer with 15 years of enriching experience \r\nand Ms. Aaruni Richhariya, Founder, Nagbrahma Society, Bhopal in which Himachal House emerged as the Winner, beautifully portraying the Bengal Tiger and highlighting its significance as India’s National Animal. Energetic patriotic dance performances celebrating the National Symbols and the Tricolour further immersed everyone in the spirit of the occasion. The School Director, Dr Jaishree Kanwar, delivered an inspiring address on the significance of freedom, the role of youth, and the collective responsibility towards building a Viksit Bharat. She reminded students that the freedom they enjoy today was earned through the courage, sacrifices, determination, and struggles of countless freedom fighters, and urged them to value this freedom by contributing meaningfully to the nation. The celebration truly reflected the essence of Independence Day, honouring the sacrifices of the past while inspiring the young generation to shoulder the responsibility of building a stronger and more developed India.

Parent Teacher Meet - II

“When parents and teachers work together, every child is empowered to learn, grow, and achieve their fullest potential.”\r\nThe Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM-II) for Classes Nursery to XII was successfully conducted on Saturday, 08 August 2026. The meeting provided a meaningful platform for parents and teachers to engage in constructive discussions regarding students’ academic progress, behavioural development, and overall well-being. Teachers shared subject-wise performance, strengths, areas for improvement, and personalised feedback, along with strategies for effective revision, time management, disciplined study habits, and holistic development.\r\n\r\nParents participated actively, shared valuable insights, and collaborated with teachers to support their children’s learning journey.\r\nThe successful conduct of PTM-II reaffirmed the importance of a strong home-school partnership in nurturing confident, responsible, and well-rounded learners.

Vegetable Week

Vegetable Week was celebrated for the students of KGI, introducing them to the colourful world of vegetables through joyful and interactive experiences. The week featured engaging activities such as a Vegetable Song, a Vegetable Market, and fruit and vegetable sorting, enabling children to recognise different vegetables while learning about their nutritional value. Through hands-on participation, the young learners developed awareness of healthy eating habits in an enjoyable manner. The vibrant activities created an atmosphere of excitement, curiosity, and learning, making the week a delightful blend of education and fun. The enthusiastic participation of the children contributed to the grand success of the event.

ASPIRE session by CA Sandeep Garg

Students of Classes XI and XII Commerce and Humanities had the privilege of attending an inspiring and insightful ASPIRE session by renowned author and academician, CA Sandeep Garg on 25 June 2026. The session encouraged students to dream ambitiously, work persistently, and cultivate the skills required to thrive in a competitive world.\r\nAddressing the students, he shared a powerful message: “Do not be the one who keeps searching for different career options; become the one whom different career options search for.” He emphasized the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and lifelong learning, reminding students that growth comes from embracing challenges and continuously striving for improvement. He also highlighted the vital role of parents and teachers in nurturing and guiding children towards holistic development.\r\nThe students participated enthusiastically in the interactive Open House discussion, asking thoughtful questions about careers, success, and personal growth. Enriched with real-life experiences, motivational insights, and an engaging question-answer session, the event proved to be a highly enriching experience that inspired students to broaden their horizons, set meaningful goals, and pursue excellence with confidence and determination.

ASPIRE session for Teachers by CA Sandeep Garg

A two-day workshop on “Empowering Educators in Accountancy and Economics” was conducted on 24 & 25 June 2026 by renowned author and academician CA Sandeep Garg. The workshop aimed to enhance pedagogical practices and equip teachers with effective strategies for improving student learning outcomes.\r\nOn the first day, dedicated to Accountancy, key concepts from Classes XI and XII were discussed in detail. Teachers' queries were addressed with clarity, and emphasis was laid on conceptual understanding, revision techniques, and the development of productive study habits among students.\r\nThe second day focused on Economics. Teachers were encouraged to motivate students towards regular revision and independent learning. Innovative methods such as the use of acronyms to simplify complex topics were shared. The session also highlighted the growing importance of competency-based questions, assertion–reasoning items, and MCQs in assessments.\r\nThe workshop proved highly enriching, providing educators with practical insights, innovative teaching tools, and a renewed commitment to student-centric learning.

International Yoga Day Celebration

International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 20 June 2026, Saturday . The day began with a brief introduction highlighting the significance of yoga and this year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.” Students, teachers, and staff members actively participated in the yoga session, demonstrating great zeal and commitment. Various yogasanas, Surya Namaskar, pranayama, and meditation practices were performed to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and inner peace. Sagarites learned about the numerous benefits of regular yoga practice and its importance in leading a healthy lifestyle. The celebration concluded on a positive note, inspiring everyone to incorporate yoga into their daily routine.

ASPIRE Workshop

Focused on enriching the teaching of language and literature, an Aspire Workshop for English teachers was conducted on 11 and 12 June 2026 at SPSGN, with Ms. Usha Pandit as the esteemed speaker— a distinguished academic consultant, author, and teacher trainer with over three decades of experience in education across India and abroad.\r\nThe sessions were thoughtfully designed and highly interactive, offering teachers a valuable platform to reflect on classroom practices and address real challenges. The sessions for middle and senior classes focused on strategies for tackling unseen passages, building vocabulary, interpreting poetry beyond the literal level, and developing effective writing skills such as report writing, autobiography, and analytical paragraphs.\r\nThe session for primary section focused on strengthening foundational language skills through simple grammar concepts and effective approaches to teaching poetry in an engaging and age-appropriate manner.\r\nOverall, the workshop was enriching and insightful, inspiring educators to adopt more reflective, skill-based, and learner-centered approaches in their teaching.
