Senior Annual Function 2025 – Sanskriti Samvardhan: Heritage to Horizon

“Our heritage is not only what we inherit from our ancestors,\r\nIt is what we build upon and pass on to our future.”\r\n\r\nSagar Public School, Gandhi Nagar, celebrated its Senior Annual Function 2025 on 4 November 2025 with the theme “Sanskriti Samvardhan: Heritage to Horizon.” The grand celebration was graced by the esteemed Chief Guests — Padma Shri Pt. Umakant ji Gundecha and Shri Anant Ramakant Gundecha, the torchbearers of Dhrupad, the oldest form of Hindustani classical music, and founders of Dhrupad Sansthan, Bhopal. The evening opened with a soulful Khayal Gayan in Hindustani classical music by the Senior Orchestra, whose live rendition of the Raga set a serene and elevating tempo for the celebration ahead. The spellbinding performances — Swāgatam Krishna evoked divine grace and serenity, The Museum of Harmony portrayed the balance of tradition and modernity, Pioneers of Progress celebrated the spirit of innovation, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner reflected upon redemption and reverence for life, Nukkad Natak – The Voice of Streets stirred awareness and social responsibility, and Veerangana Durgawati paid a stirring tribute to courage and sacrifice. Pt. Umakant ji, in his inspiring address, emphasized the importance of preserving India’s classical art forms as the true essence of our heritage. The event also featured the presentation of the Annual Report 2025–26 and the Scholarship Felicitation Ceremony, honouring the achievers of the Class X Board Examination 2024–25. Junior Annual Function 2025 – Gyanodaya: Roots to Radiance

“The greatest temple ever built is the human heart — where faith, kindness, and strength reside.” The Junior Annual Function 2025 of Sagar Public School, Gandhi Nagar was organised on 3 November 2025 on the theme “Gyanodaya: Roots to Radiance." It was a vibrant celebration of creativity and learning. The event was graced by Dr. Vinay Mishra, a distinguished Academician, Psychologist, Author, as the Chief Guest, whose inspiring presence added dignity to the evening. The programme began with a motivational song followed by a welcome dance themed “Man Mandira – The Inner Temple.” The vibrant Junior Orchestra lit up the stage with its lively performances, as children played and sang live, filling the atmosphere with rhythm, joy, and infectious energy. Performances by students reflected diverse shades of growth — Class I presented “The Dream Train,” celebrating childhood wonder; Class II paid tribute to community helpers; Class III shared laughter and learning through Tenali Rama’s tales; and Class IV portrayed the courage of Jhalkari Bai. Dr. Mishra praised the children’s creativity and spirit, remarking that true growth lies in expression and empathy. “Once a Sagarite, always a Sagarite — because memories fade, but connections never do.” The much-awaited Alumni Meet 2025 was held on 17 October 2025 radiating joy, nostalgia, and warmth. The event brought together proud alumni and enthusiastic teachers eager to relive cherished school memories. The celebration began with a gracious welcome, followed by inspiring addresses by Dr. Jaishree Kanwar, Director; Shri S.S. Shrivastava, Dean; and Ms Alpa Prabhu, Madam Principal, highlighting the everlasting mentor-student bond. They also emphasized upon the importance of gratitude in life. Students shared about their start ups, initiated collaboration with fellow Sagarites highlighting the power of networking and meaningful connections. Parents’ Orientation for Class VIII

"Education is not the filling of a pot, but the lighting of a fire." The Parents’ Orientation Session for the Integrated Program for Class VIII was held on 13 October 2025. The session guided parents on choosing between Hindi and Sanskrit as the second language in Class IX and introduced the Integrated Program, blending the CBSE curriculum with preparation for competitive exams like JEE, NEET, CUET, and CLAT. The importance of parental involvement in making informed academic decisions based on students’ interests and aptitude was emphasized. The program’s structure, objectives, and benefits were explained, and parents actively engaged in the Q&A session, appreciating the school’s guidance and support.

World Mental Health Awareness Day

“Mental health is not a destination, but a journey of understanding, balance, and growth.” World Mental Health Awareness Day was observed on 10 October 2025 with great enthusiasm across Classes Nursery to XII to promote awareness about emotional well-being. A special presentation in the Junior and Senior Assemblies emphasized the importance of nurturing a healthy mind and shared practical strategies for positivity. Students participated in thoughtful activities—Pre-Primary created smiley emojis, Classes I–II shared positive affirmations, Classes III–V built a Wall of Gratitude and Joy, Classes VI–VIII assessed their Happiness Index, and Classes IX–XII reflected on Coping with Stress. The celebration reinforced that mental health is the true foundation of happiness and growth.

ASPIRE workshop on Water colour Painting

On 8 October 2025, an ASPIRE workshop was conducted for the Fine Arts students of Classes XI and XII on the theme “Watercolour Painting.” The session was facilitated by Ms Neelima Shrivastava and Mr Yogesh Yadav, founders of Kaladhara, a creative initiative, based in Bhopal as the Resource persons. Educational Trip to IIM, INDORE for Classes XI & XII @ SPS Gandhi Nagar

On 24 September 2025, Sagarites of Class XI and XII visited Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore for an enriching educational trip. The highlight was an interactive session with Retd. Col. Dr Guru Raj Gopinath, who emphasized that IIMs nurture not just managers but socially responsible leaders. He motivated students to dream big, plan effectively, and pursue goals with discipline, curiosity, and determination. His inspiring words, “Believe you can and you’re halfway there,” deeply resonated. A guided campus tour showcased academic blocks, library, and hostels, offering insights into life at IIM Indore. The visit was truly inspiring and left students motivated for future endeavors.

“A healthy mind resides in a healthy body, and both together create a strong foundation for learning.”\r\nA two-days Capacity Building Programme on School Health and Wellness was organized under the aegis of CBSE on 13 and 14 September 2025. The programme was conducted by two eminent CBSE Resource Persons. The twelfth edition of the Inter-School Debate Competition, Carpe Diem – Seize the Day, was hosted by Sagar Public School, Gandhi Nagar on 23 August 2025. The motion for the day was “The Gig Economy Empowers the Youth with Flexibility and Independence.”\r\nThe event was adjudicated by two distinguished personalities—Mr. Rajiv Mishra, Founder & CCO, Mystique 7, and Mr. Bhaskar Indrakranti, eminent educator and entrepreneur.
