Students of Classes XI and XII Commerce and Humanities had the privilege of attending an inspiring and insightful ASPIRE session by renowned author and academician, CA Sandeep Garg on 25 June 2026. The session encouraged students to dream ambitiously, work persistently, and cultivate the skills required to thrive in a competitive world.\r\nAddressing the students, he shared a powerful message: “Do not be the one who keeps searching for different career options; become the one whom different career options search for.” He emphasized the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and lifelong learning, reminding students that growth comes from embracing challenges and continuously striving for improvement. He also highlighted the vital role of parents and teachers in nurturing and guiding children towards holistic development.\r\nThe students participated enthusiastically in the interactive Open House discussion, asking thoughtful questions about careers, success, and personal growth. Enriched with real-life experiences, motivational insights, and an engaging question-answer session, the event proved to be a highly enriching experience that inspired students to broaden their horizons, set meaningful goals, and pursue excellence with confidence and determination.

ASPIRE session for Teachers by CA Sandeep Garg

A two-day workshop on “Empowering Educators in Accountancy and Economics” was conducted on 24 & 25 June 2026 by renowned author and academician CA Sandeep Garg. The workshop aimed to enhance pedagogical practices and equip teachers with effective strategies for improving student learning outcomes.\r\nOn the first day, dedicated to Accountancy, key concepts from Classes XI and XII were discussed in detail. Teachers' queries were addressed with clarity, and emphasis was laid on conceptual understanding, revision techniques, and the development of productive study habits among students.\r\nThe second day focused on Economics. Teachers were encouraged to motivate students towards regular revision and independent learning. Innovative methods such as the use of acronyms to simplify complex topics were shared. The session also highlighted the growing importance of competency-based questions, assertion–reasoning items, and MCQs in assessments.\r\nThe workshop proved highly enriching, providing educators with practical insights, innovative teaching tools, and a renewed commitment to student-centric learning.

International Yoga Day Celebration

International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 20 June 2026, Saturday . The day began with a brief introduction highlighting the significance of yoga and this year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.” Students, teachers, and staff members actively participated in the yoga session, demonstrating great zeal and commitment. Various yogasanas, Surya Namaskar, pranayama, and meditation practices were performed to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and inner peace. Sagarites learned about the numerous benefits of regular yoga practice and its importance in leading a healthy lifestyle. The celebration concluded on a positive note, inspiring everyone to incorporate yoga into their daily routine.

ASPIRE Workshop

Focused on enriching the teaching of language and literature, an Aspire Workshop for English teachers was conducted on 11 and 12 June 2026 at SPSGN, with Ms. Usha Pandit as the esteemed speaker— a distinguished academic consultant, author, and teacher trainer with over three decades of experience in education across India and abroad.\r\nThe sessions were thoughtfully designed and highly interactive, offering teachers a valuable platform to reflect on classroom practices and address real challenges. The sessions for middle and senior classes focused on strategies for tackling unseen passages, building vocabulary, interpreting poetry beyond the literal level, and developing effective writing skills such as report writing, autobiography, and analytical paragraphs.\r\nThe session for primary section focused on strengthening foundational language skills through simple grammar concepts and effective approaches to teaching poetry in an engaging and age-appropriate manner.\r\nOverall, the workshop was enriching and insightful, inspiring educators to adopt more reflective, skill-based, and learner-centered approaches in their teaching.

Earth Day Celebration

Sagarites of Classes Nursery to II celebrated Earth Day on 22 April 2026 with great enthusiasm and awareness. The young learners actively participated in a variety of creative and meaningful activities. Nursery and KGI students showcased their creativity through Earth-themed crafts using thumb printing, ear bud art, balloon painting, and paper tearing, enhancing their fine motor skills. KGII students enthusiastically took part in a seed germination activity and a “Save Earth” march past with impactful slogans.\r\nGrade I students expressed their ideas through drawings on “How Will You Make Earth Happy?”, while Grade II students designed vibrant posters on “Save Nature.” The celebration instilled a sense of responsibility, encouraging students to care for the environment from an early age.

Spectrum - My India, My Responsibility

Spectrum for Classes VI–VIII was organised on Saturday, 18 April 2026, at Sagar Public School, Gandhi Nagar, under the impactful theme “My India, My Responsibility.” The uniqueness of Spectrum lay in its seamless integration of subjects, where each discipline contributed through thoughtfully designed projects reflecting responsibility towards the nation. The Science Spectrum showcased innovative models such as Smart Dustbin, Maglev Train, Smart Irrigation System, and Rainwater Harvesting, highlighting scientific awareness and sustainable thinking.\r\nIn Social Science, students presented engaging models on landforms, time zones, Mohenjodaro, Panchayati Raj, sustainable development, smart cities, and the law-making process in India, reflecting a strong understanding of civic responsibility and heritage.\r\nMathematics activities focused on problem-solving and critical thinking, while ATL and Yoga promoted innovation and mindfulness. The Performing Arts segment showcased a beautiful blend of classical, folk, and western forms, and languages celebrated India’s rich cultural diversity.\r\nOverall, Spectrum emerged as a holistic platform, truly reflecting its theme by nurturing responsible, aware, and future-ready citizens.

ASPIRE TALK - From Solving Equations to Powering Artificial Intelligence

The ASPIRE session for Classes X–XII was conducted on 8 April 2026 on the topic “From Solving Equations to Powering Artificial Intelligence.” The session was led by Mr. Subranshu Panda, alumnus SPS Gandhi Nagar, a B.Tech graduate from IIIT Bhuvaneshwar, currently a Research Intern at IIT Indore and a former Project Intern at ISRO who shared valuable insights on building a strong academic foundation. He emphasised the importance of curiosity and encouraged students to understand the ‘why’ behind every concept to make application easier. He also highlighted the need to regularly recall and revisit topics for better retention. Stressing discipline, he advised students to build a consistent routine and overcome procrastination with a winning mindset. The session further underscored the significance of continuous guidance and mentorship in shaping students’ learning journeys.

Graduation Ceremony

The Graduation Ceremony of Montessori students (KG II) was held on 7 March 2026, celebrating the joyful journey and holistic development of young learners. The ceremony commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Dr. Onkush Verma, Psychologist and Senior Counsellor, followed by Guru Vandana. In her address, she spoke about different styles of parenting, the vital role of parents during the foundational stage, and the significance of the 7–7–7 parenting formula in nurturing balanced children. The highlight of the event was the Graduation Walk, where the young graduates proudly received their certificates, marking their successful completion of KG II and their readiness to step into Class I.
