National Youth Day Celebration

January 12, 2024

"Take up one idea. Make it your life – think of it, dream of it, live it. This is the way to succeed in life." - Swami Vivekananda. National Youth Day was joyously celebrated at Sagar Public School, Gandhi Nagar, on January 12, 2024, commemorating the birth anniversary of the eminent philosopher and spiritual leader, Swami Vivekananda. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students of Class VII of all sections, who gathered in the open area amidst the lush green surroundings. The students engaged in a series of activities including Surya Namaskar, Pranayama and various other Yoga asanas. The teachers also participated actively, fostering a sense of unity and well-being within the school community. The celebration of National Youth Day holds immense significance as it not only pays tribute to Swami Vivekananda but also underscores the importance of physical and mental well-being through Yoga. The event provided a unique opportunity for students to connect with their inner selves and promote a healthy lifestyle. Beyond the physical aspects, the practice of Yoga instilled discipline, concentration and a sense of peace among the participants. This initiative was not merely a commemoration of Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary but a vibrant demonstration of the school's commitment to holistic well-being.
