Fire safety is not just a set of rules; it's a way of life that saves lives.\r\n\r\nA Fire Disaster Management Drill was conducted on 3 April 2025 for Classes VI to IX in the school, to educate Sagarites on fire prevention and emergency response. The drill was led by Dr. Sajid Khan, Assistant Fire Officer, Fatehgarh Fire Station, who has 30 years of experience in fire safety and disaster management.\r\nThe drill covered common household fire hazards such as electrical short circuits, gas leaks, and improper handling of inflammable substances. Immediate actions in case of a fire, including staying calm, alerting others, evacuating, and calling the fire brigade, were emphasized.\r\nA mock evacuation drill was conducted, focusing on safe exits, assembly points, and roll calls. Sagarites were also trained in fire extinguisher use using the PASS method and were informed about fire types where water should not be used. A fire brigade drill highlighted coordination with emergency responders.\r\nThe drill was highly informative, reinforcing the importance of preparedness and quick action in fire emergencies.
