Educational Trip to IIM, INDORE for Classes XI & XII @ SPS Gandhi Nagar

On 24 September 2025, Sagarites of Class XI and XII visited Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore for an enriching educational trip. The highlight was an interactive session with Retd. Col. Dr Guru Raj Gopinath, who emphasized that IIMs nurture not just managers but socially responsible leaders. He motivated students to dream big, plan effectively, and pursue goals with discipline, curiosity, and determination. His inspiring words, “Believe you can and you’re halfway there,” deeply resonated. A guided campus tour showcased academic blocks, library, and hostels, offering insights into life at IIM Indore. The visit was truly inspiring and left students motivated for future endeavors.

CBSE Capacity Building Workshop on School Health and Wellness
“A healthy mind resides in a healthy body, and both together create a strong foundation for learning.”\r\nA two-days Capacity Building Programme on School Health and Wellness was organized under the aegis of CBSE on 13 and 14 September 2025. The programme was conducted by two eminent CBSE Resource Persons. Ms Reeta Singh, Principal of Central India Academy, Dewas, and Ms Parmita Karmakar, Principal of Mount Litera Zee School, Jabalpur reminded the participants that education is not just about knowledge, but also about nurturing happier, healthier & emotionally balanced individuals.\r\nAcross the two days, 11 modules were covered through interactive activities, real-life discussions, and case studies, making the sessions highly engaging and practical. The workshop emphasized holistic well-being, participatory learning, and the teacher’s role as a facilitator. It concluded with gratitude and a renewed commitment to creating healthier, happier, and more resilient learners.

"Curiosity is the spark, consistency is the fuel, and together they launch you beyond limits.”\r\nAn inspiring ASPIRE session was conducted on 26 August 2025 by Mr. Jatin Wahane, the World’s Youngest Rocket Scientist and India’s Youngest Aerospace Engineer. With his humble presence and powerful words, he ignited young minds to dream big and stay grounded. He emphasized that curiosity will take you miles, one must grow their skill set to be valued, and consistency in efforts is the real key to success. Sharing insights from his own journey, Mr Wahane encouraged students to nurture passion with discipline and to persevere despite challenges. The session concluded with an engaging interaction, where students asked insightful questions, leaving them motivated to chase their aspirations with courage and consistency.

The initiative not only instilled values of empathy and kindness but also reminded students that true happiness lies in sharing. It was a heart-touching experience of humanity in action.

Carpe Diem 2025 – Inter-School Debate Competition
The twelfth edition of the Inter-School Debate Competition, Carpe Diem – Seize the Day, was hosted by Sagar Public School, Gandhi Nagar on 23 August 2025. The motion for the day was “The Gig Economy Empowers the Youth with Flexibility and Independence.”\r\nThe event was adjudicated by two distinguished personalities—Mr. Rajiv Mishra, Founder & CCO, Mystique 7, and Mr. Bhaskar Indrakranti, eminent educator and entrepreneur. "Science is not only a disciple of reason, but, also, one of romance and passion." – Stephen Hawking\r\nFrom 28 July 2025 to 1 August 2025, Science Week, for classes VI to IX, was a celebration of innovation, curiosity, and hands-on learning. Students enthusiastically showcased models on topics such as light, electricity, magnetism, hydraulic bridges, atmospheric pressure, and DNA barcoding. Presentations on International Tiger Day, NASA’s establishment, and the roles of the Oil and Sugar Boards added real-world relevance. A science quiz further engaged young minds. The week successfully promoted scientific thinking and helped students connect classroom concepts to everyday applications through creativity and exploration.

ASPIRE Session: Honouring India’s Mathematical Legacy from Aryabhata to Innovation
Mathematics is the language with which God has written the universe.” — Galileo Galilei\r\nAn enlightening Aspire Talk was held on 26 July 2025 on the topic “Indian Knowledge System in Mathematics.” The session was conducted by Mr.Lokendra Singh Chauhan, Assistant Professor, Department of Science and Mathematics, Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Bhopal as the keynote speaker. \r\nHe highlighted the contributions of ancient Indian scholars, especially Aryabhata, covering the origin of zero, the place-value system, and time measurement. Concepts like Aryabhatiya, equinox, zodiac signs, AM/PM system, eclipses, and the Katapayadi system were explored. He urged students to focus not only on the injustices of British rule but also to take pride in the remarkable achievements of India’s historians and scholars. The talk concluded by emphasizing the importance of mathematical modelling and simulations in addressing real-world challenges, inspiring students to appreciate India's intellectual heritage.
