Sahodaya Inter School Folk Dance Competition Nrityollas

“Dance is the hidden language of the soul” 

With the aim of honing the dancing skills of the students, under the aegis of Sahodaya Group of CBSE Schools, an Inter school Folk Dance Competition 'Nrityollas' was held at Sagar Public School, Gandhi Nagar. 

The stage came alive when the students of 24 different schools from Bhopal staged spectacular dances in the competition. The dance troupes from various schools mesmerized the audience with their performances based on the theme “Folk Dances of India”. The attractive costumes, fluid dance movements and fascinating props made it tough for the judges to decide the winner. 

The judges for the day were Ms. Shamal Khadwe, Shri Natyashree Shaji and Ms. Gungun Vishwakarma. After the performances Principal, Dr. Jaishree Kanwar lauded the performances and said that dancing is the most beautiful art because it is not mere translation or abstraction from life, it is life itself. 

The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by the Vice Principal Ms. Alpa Prabhu followed by Prize distribution and memento presentation to all the escort teachers along with their group photographs as a souvenir. The first position was bagged by DPS Neelbad, the second position was bagged by Sagar Public School Gandhi Nagar and the third position was bagged by Carmel Convent Senior Secondary School, BHEL. The Best Dancer Male was won by Chitransh Sadhwani of DPS Neelbad and Best Dancer Female was won by Khushi Gupta of SPS GN. All the teams appreciated the hospitality and enjoyed the sumptuous lunch.
